The AdobePDFViewer plug-in is used to display PDF files in Safari using Acrobat and Reader. Configuring Acrobat to display PDF files in Safari Support for many Adobe PDF workflows (such as the Collaboration feature or many Forms and Security features) is unavailable. I have already done the uninstall and clean installation troubleshooting steps on Adobe, to no avail. I have tried updating Adobe Flash Player 19 and was unsuccessful. But Apple is still working on many of the crashing bugs introduced in MacOS 10.10, and some third party plugin developers are still working on solutions to crashes introduced in MacOS 10.10.

Note: If you don't have Acrobat or Reader, or haven't installed the PDFViewer plug-in, then Safari shows PDF files using the Mac OS X native PDF support. I have a Macbook Pro with OS X Yosemite 10.10.5. The issues that Apple has already fixed in OS dot releases should show you a solution webpage (which says to install the OS updates).
Installing Adobe Reader is a two-step process. Adobe Acrobat Pro for Mac offers the wonderful functionality of Adobe Reader as well as some extra features, allowing you to combine PDFs into one file, create fillable forms, edit existing PDFs.
